The Steinberg CI2+ is a compact 2-input/2-output USB audio interface designed for home studio recording and music production. It features an AI (Advanced Integration) knob that links directly with Cubase for hands-on parameter control, transport buttons for DAW navigation without touching the mouse, and a direct monitoring mix knob for zero-latency monitoring. The HI-Z instrument input accepts guitar or bass directly, and the combo XLR/TRS mic input delivers +48V phantom power for condenser microphones. It was bundled with Cubase Essential 5 when new, making it a popular entry-level interface for Cubase users in the early 2010s.
