Fostex external Dolby C units. These were designed to be used with the Fostex A-4 reel to reel but the DIN connector on the back is only an on-off switch so you can easily fashion your own encode/decode switch. I don’t have a use for Dolby C. I haven’t tested so selling as-is. One is missing rack ears. Comes with manual.

Physically, the MTC1 is a small black box which attaches to the rear of the R8 recorder by a couple of screws. Connection is by a short lead which plugs into the serial port and power is derived from the recorder, with a red LED to show that all is OK.
Speakes power on and have sound. One is a dent and one is a poke clean through.
