The configuration charge is included in the listing price. A Plug N Play display simplifies the whole installation process. NO soldering is required. Its NOT necessary to swap any components on the mainboard when using this display. It simply hooks up by its attached ribbon cable. Then its ready to switch on. To suit every possible studio environment, I now build and ship this display with a fully adjustable backlight brightness control. This is used to set the display up perfectly for the light conditions in your studio. If you use the display in a brightly lit room, the backlight can be set slightly higher, if your studio is dark, it can be dialed in lower for a better look. Shipping the display adjustable is essential. Once the brightness is set up, the potentiometer is tucked away inside. NO soldering or reconfiguring work is required. For example, It's possible to buy it for one instrument, then, if required swap it into other multiple instruments, if, say, you sold equipment, purchased different equipment etc it can be easily re-used it's very flexible. The display is programmable in an analog sense. Each instrument has a program code. To switch the display from one instrument to another, you only need to know the applicable code. Programming the display is simple, it doesn't require any tech skills. It's very basic for everyone to understand. **see the bottom of the listing for all the Multi-Mode program codes. Even though the display is not finished, the program codes have already been finalised. It's ok to share them in advance** I've decided, to be fair to customers, they should be notified of this change well in advance. Otherwise, in the near future, I'd be shipping an old display on Monday, new one on Tuesday, and that wouldnt be fair.
