The C430 doesn’t require much of an introduction as it already has a well earned reputation as a great compact overhead drum mic. With a subtle roll off in the bottom end and smooth boost of a few dB in the top end, this produces silky smooth highs that cut through the mix without being overwhelming or requiring much if any eq.
