With extremely low phase shift and gradual curve filters. That make it one of the most musical sounding EQs we have ever built. We have been building EQs in the USA since 1989. We have released many different models, from dual 31 band graphics to four band parametrics we have built them all at one time or another. We put all of our experience into building one of the best sounding EQs we have ever built. Not all records sound great, some of the new recordings lack dynamic range and seem overly compressed. Why suffer from glaring treble or poor bass response due to a bad recording? Its silly to suffer through bad recordings for the sake of purity. Theres no reason EQ controls cant be implemented and used in ways that result in a net sonic improvement, and of course they can always be bypassed when a great recording is being played. The steel sheets are cut, bent, formed, and finished all by US labor. After that process the steel is powder coated to a high gloss red done by US labor. We silk-screen the chassis and assemble the PCB′s at our Salt Lake City factory. We flow solder the PCB′s, send them to post flow assembly where we add the fragile components soldering them in by hand. We test the PCB′s and send them to mechanical assembly were the PA253 is completed then tested again. The boxes that we use are made in a facility just a few miles from us. Even the out bound shipping boxes, biodegradable peanuts and printing materials are made in the US. Yes, some of the parts used like the power adapter, jacks, knob, and IC′s are not made by us and come from countries other than the US. We pride ourselves on keeping as much as we can in the US including 100% of the product development and design. It's particularly suitable for ameliorating issues with inferior-sounding records as you listen to them in headphones or through home speakers. Use this EQ with your phono preamp, CD player, phone, tablet, DAC, or other media player. Four bands of equalization are provided via four potentiometers. On the low 60 Hz and high 7.5 kHz bands, you secure up to 12 dB of boost or attenuation. You can achieve up to 6 dB of boost/cut with the midrange knobs, centered at 400 Hz and 2 kHz.
