It functions as a DM 8G+® transmitter and switcher with HDMI®, VGA, and analog audio inputs along with Ethernet and USB HID ports for a total connectivity solution. It connects to the head end or display location using a single CAT type twisted pair cable.

The CNRJ11 is a 1-1 converter used to adapt between a standard 4-wire Cresnet cable and a modular Cresnet cable. One 4-pin connector and one 6-pin RJ11 jack are provided, wired in parallel.
Eight 4-pin connectors are provided, grouped in two sets of four. Power can be isolated between the two sets by removing an internal jumper. Diagnostic LEDs indicate the presence of network power and data.
In addition to DM 8G+, it is also compatible with HDBaseT®, allowing it to be connected directly to an HDBaseT certified source. Built-in scaling enables the connected display to handle any video resolution up to HD 1080p or WUXGA.
