The DN10.172K 1” high frequency neodymium compression driver from Lavoce’s Next Generation line offers lower distortion, smoother response, and lower power compression than their previous designs. With a naturally damped high temperature polyimide diaphragm and surround, the DN10.172K produces extremely flat response all the way up to 20,000 Hz for a natural and detailed sound. To minimize mass, the voice coil uses a heat resistant Kapton former wrapped with edgewound copper coated aluminum wire which allows this driver to deliver 110 dB sensitivity. The high energy neodymium motor has been optimized to dissipate unwanted heat which helps control power compression ensuring that output levels are consistent, even after being pushed to the limit for extended periods of time.
