Shure 55 series microphones * USA * INTERNAL SHOCK MOUNT (rubber feet) AND POP FILTERS (BOTH BACK AND FRONT) is the rebuild kit. NOTE: THESE ARE "BLACK" NOT GRAY = BETTER. I'm the only one that has this color. IF WHEN YOU MOVE YOUR SHURE 55 MIC AND IT MAKES A CLUNKING SOUND, THE RUBBER ISOLATION FEET ARE BAD. REPLACE THEM. You get 3 INTERNAL SHOCK MOUNTS ( rubber feet to replace the old ones) AND BOTH FRONT AND REAR POP FILTERS IN CHARCOAL BLACK (PHOTO 1- MAIN PHOTO) IS WHAT YOU ARE BUYING. The SHOCK MOUNTS are made from high density foam (SEE PHOTOS) yet soft enough to form into the cavity of the Shure microphone mounting brackets. The POP FILTERS are made from OPEN CELL FOAM to perform properly. Over the years the old INTERNAL SHOCK MOUNT will disintegerate and fall apart or turn into a sticky mess most often affecting the parts inside. WILL FIT THE FOLLOWING MODELS - 55S, 556S, 55SW, 55S Gold,55SW Gold, PE55, PE55SH, 55SH, 55SH Series II, Super 55, Super 55-BCR I suggest using the 3M 467MP double-sided adhesive; cut in strips and put on the ribs to install the screens. I have done many of these. That particular adhesive is easier to work with since you can re-adjust the screens. Just don’t press it down hard until you have it where you want it. Just makes for a nicer cleaner job. Otherwise the other glues get on everything and if you have to adjust them, you can still see the glue even if it’s clear; you will see it.Shure now uses glues that are the same color as the screens. Still see it but it’s a lot better. The 3M strips will take a little longer? But no issues and clear double-sided adhesive works on all screens. THESE WILL NOT FIT THE FAT BOY!
