No effect on the sound, only cosmeticyou can see in 1 of the pics because photo is looking down at the unit. Unit above it has an indented face plate, its not noticeable if a regular piece of gear is above it as the other pic shows when viewing straight on. Sold as is. No returns. Used but works perfect.
