PiezoBarrel V1 Pickup and 4 meter cable with brass adapters for Tenor or Baritone Sax neck.Note - only the pickup (microphone), cable and adapters with blocking screws for neck (Type E) are supplied. Necks shown are only used to show how the supplied adapters may be installed. The PiezoBarrel V1 is a professional saxophone pickup designed for saxophones to provide high quality natural sound and also to permit easy use of guitar effect pedals. The V1 is a new design with a crisp clean sound that is designed to provide a similar sound to a stand microphone, but suited to live performance especially in noisy environments, allowing the performer ease of use, simplicity, mobility, access to effects and no feedback or spill from other instruments. This pickup comes with a brass adapter for soldering onto your saxophone neck. For neck installation, the supplied adapter is soldered onto the neck and then a small hole (usually 2.5mm diameter) has to be drilled into the bore of the instrument neck in order to pick up the sound. Included:-PiezoBarrel P7 Pickup4m long 3.5mm to 6.3mm shielded cable to plug in to standard 6.3mm (1/4 inch) line or instrument socket.Small Phillips screwdriver to adjust output level for use with some wireless systems.Blocking screws with O ringsSpare Brass threaded adapters supplied to attach pickup to sax neck.Manual is available from PiezoBarrel as a PDF file but eBay messages and emails do not allow file attachments so I have uploaded pictures of the manual pages which provide generic information on installation and use. The manual does not attempt to teach soldering as this is best left to an instrument repairer/technician. Features:-Pickup screws in to the instrument with a M6 x 1.0 standard metric thread.Pickup connection is a standard 3.5mm (1/8th inch) jack/socket.High signal to noise ratioDoes not require a pre-amplifierOutput voltage is adjustable between zero and full output voltage so it will work with devices expecting small microphone level signals such as wireless microphone systems. Guitar wireless systems usually work without changes to the output level.Suitable for use with Guitar and instrument (Line Level) inputs, or Mic level inputs using output voltage adjustment (or preferably a DI box).Low feedback. As the pickup is built in to the instrument, external sounds have very little impact on the output signal. Can be connected directly to mixers, recorders or guitar amplifiers as well as standard Guitar effect pedals and loop stations.Reproduces the natural sound of the instrument.
