A traditional balanced cable uses three cores of wire to carry the audio signals: one shielded core for the hot/positive leg, one shielded core for the cold/negative leg (which is wired in reverse polarity to the positive leg), and a plain outer wrap that functions as the ground.

Warm Audio partnered with Switzerland-based Gotham AG, Europe’s top producer of boutique cables, to provide cable stock for the Premier XLR female to TRS male cables. These premium cables offer advanced features like gold-plated connectors, StarQuad construction, Double-Reussen shielding and a braided outer wrap for durability. StarQuad construction achieves greater protection from induced noise than traditional XLR female to TRS male cables by using five cores instead of three, and Double-Reussen shielding uses two separate copper shields wrapped in a contrary direction to create the strongest resistance to EMI available.
