Receive 4 Channels of Analog Audio Via Cat 5 or Cat 6 The Radial Catapult MINI RX is an ingenious invention. It, when combined with the Catapult MINI TX, enables you to transform a standard Cat 5 or Cat 6 cable into a 4-channel analog snake. Simply connect a shielded Cat 5 or Cat 6 cable between the two modules, and they’ll use the analog conductors in the cable to deliver four balanced audio lines to whatever destination you choose. The MINI RX employs straight-wire passive operation — it’s analog all the way, with no digital conversion necessary. At Sweetwater, we’ve also used the MINI RX to receive audio transmitted via a building's existing cable infrastructure. You can put a performer, mic, and preamp in one room, and send the signal to your DAW in a completely different room.
