Upgrade your AKAI MPC 3000 to the latest firmware version, Vailixi V3.50. Reinstall the cover, power up. The screen should say "Vailixi 3.50". Shut down your MPC 3000 and disconnect power. Casio RZ-1 OS v2.0u EPROM Firmware Upgrade KIT / ROM Update Chip RZ1 This upgrade version v2.0u is a custom developed firmware for Casio’s RZ-1 drum machine. Included will be 1 new EPROM chip to complete the upgrade. Soldering experience will be required to perform this upgrade. I will also include a new spare DIP-28 socket that I strongly suggest you use. Since there should be updates to this custom firmware, having the ability to safely swap between existing EPROMS is a definite asset. Please note: The RZ-1 itself not for sale. Only the service of the EPROM is. This is a custom developed firmware, which is still being worked on and is expected to have subsequent updates. Bugs and quirks are to be expected in some form although I personally have not heard of any issues reported back with the RZ-1’s I’ve upgraded for a few producers thus far. If you need to upgrade the firmware to a newer version down the line, send me a message and I’ll help you with the upgrade. All I ask is that you cover the costs for me to ship the upgraded EPROM back to you. Added in 2.0 – OLED support. Now you can find yourself a cheap 16x1 WS0010/RS0010 chipset LCD display on eBay and upgrade your RZ-1 to a much nicer screen. Features added: New – On the fly pattern switching during playback. New – Adjustable sample attack. New – Accent lock. New – Independent MIDI Transmit / Receive channel assignment. New – Sample Reverse New – Local On / Off and Metronome On / Off. For a more elaborate explanation of the new additions, check out the developer directly at r-massive. Lastly, support your developers! Be sure to take note of the marked orientation notch on the side of the EPROM to ensure correct installation. EPROMS inserted backwards will be destroyed. Incorrect insertion of ICs is also likely to cause damage to the board. All EPROM upgrades have been prepared in an ESD-safe production environment and will be packaged in equally ESD-safe materials.
