This shockmount prevents noise and vibrations from traveling up your stand and into your mic signal, resulting in cleaner, quieter recordings. The AT8449A is compatible with both 3/8"-16 (European) and 5/8"-27 (American) mic-stand threading and fits inside an R1 style A/T case.
