The jacket of the cable is made from a flexible and rugged PVC rubber and the screen is braided around the core to enhance the protection form unwanted Electro Magnetic Interferences. This lead has a specific impedance of 75 ohms which is the industry standard resistance that SPDIF and Word Clock use in order to transmit there digital data. Without this devices would not ‘Sync’ correctly and information would be lost or misrepresented.
