Selling one of Tascam's anecdotally speaking, one of the great desktop analog 4-track multitrack cassette recorder and 4-channel capability mixer ever manufactured, The Tascam 644 equipped with the most effective DBX noise reduction system of its kind. It is worth having this indispensable machine around in any audio or video environment to add substantial life to any cold masterings that perhaps only a tape based format can ever deliver. A plethora I/O's to satisfy every possible configuration requirements including midi assignment protocol. As a desk top mixer, the 12-channel input capability alone is an amazing value enough to justify its staple purpose in any home based or pro studio alike..don't missed out on this opportunity to own it! Prior to posting, countless hours spent given a 20 point tune up including but not limited to, opening the machine layer by layer, board by board. New belt installed, tape transport rejuvenated, heads demagnetized. Lubrication and deoxit all knobs, controls & majority of electronics, as well as many relevant connections where necessarily important to ensure proper contact, static free and smooth operation. Furthermore, buffed and detailed clean every crevice every line to free from dusts with even some retouching may be involved in the refurbishing process. Bench tested and all buttons work as should, records and plays with motor mechanism as strong as intended and ready to put in service once again. The 644 is no longer in production and becoming a hard commodity and very sought after due to its professional quality result of any studio or live recording project and ease of use that is still relevant in digital culture of today!
