Attach the leads between pin 2 and 3 the meter should read somewhere in-between 114 Ohms to 126 Ohms ideally it should read 120 Ohms. While you are checking, check to make sure there are no dead shorts. By having the meter set to continuity and attaching the leads between pin 1 and 2 then pin 1 and 3 then put one of the leads on the metal part of the connector and touch each pin.
