This is one of those examples. The mic does work but the signal strength is low and tinny in nature. It should be used for display, prop or repair purposes only. The Shure 51 was originally manufactured and sold in the late 1940's and was a favorite model to use for Nat King Cole when performing live and during recording sessions.
