Hello and welcome to The House of chrome. You are looking at a great general purpose microphone made by Electro Voice during the 1970's with good sound quality that was made for general broadcasting. This is the 634BSR model and it comes with a short cable in which to operate as well as the period Atlas DS-14 model desk stand and new black foam exterior pop filter for improved sound performance. Pic # 2 is from an old E.V catalog showing the 641 and 634ASRL models. Just slightly different than the 634BSR in this listing. All are very similar in the family tree however. It should be noted that this 634BSR is omni-directional as picking up a little more background than a uni-directional mic. This mic is very mid range in tone and has a very distinct sound. Made right here in the U.S.A 60 + years ago. Thoroughly tested and cleaned this 634BSR has 100% signal output. Everything is tight. No loose parts. The mic is far from perfect with typical cosmetic wear on the painted plastic body. There are no dents or fractures but there is obvious wear on the paint and front black plastic bezel. No dents or tarnish on the front grill and no odors. The 634BSR comes with a practical on / off switch that works perfectly and can lock in place to go live 100% of the time if needed. I'd rate it a very conservative 7 on a scale of 1 -10. Please let the detailed pics be your guide. The threads for the gooseneck are excellent. The 634BSR badge looks pretty good with typical wear but completely legible. This one is ready to plug in and play. The mic comes with a short two foot cable that runs down the length of the flexible 13 inch Atlas chrome gooseneck. The cable is soft, pliable and free of damage. The chrome gooseneck is very rigid but flexible and shows lite wear. You can get any angle nneded with this gooseneck and gives you plenty of reach. The cable protrudes just a few inches from behind the stand and has the quality Switchcraft male XLR end connector. It's wired perfectly. You just need to use any longer XLR cable as an extension. You'll notice there is a brand new black foam pop filter / wind screen. It fits the mic nicely and looks great on it. You don't have to use it but you might appreciate the cleaner sound with it on. The Atlas DS--14 "boomerang" desk stand makes for a great, stable platform and really compliments the mic. It's in very nice condition with very lite physical wear and has 3 new felt pads on the bottom to keep it from scratching any surface it sits on. A great package deal all around.
