The note was, “you really need to hear these.” They had 25 left and after a listen I nabbed them.They are equipped with massive 13.5mm neodymium drivers, the FCS-135 is the largest dynamic driver IEM I have. When I was with Aurisonics prior to Fender buying them and running the company into the ground (I’ll get over it one day) we used the big dynamics in the ASG2.5 and 1.5 which were an $800+ product.Dynamic Driver – Is actually a speaker. It moves air. When the kick drum hits, you will feel it, not just hear it.In addition to neodymium drivers, the FCS-135 has a sensitivity rating of 106 dB SPL (1mW) at 1KHz, a 20-20,000Hz frequency response, an input power rating up to 50mW and a rated impedance of 16Ω.The reality: It is a cheaply built and priced earphone. The sound stage is anything but cheap. It is massive. Anyone on a budget that likes low end in their mix will love the sound. Bass players and drummers- good to go. Another selling point, due to the huge speaker, there must be a large port like a bass cabinet so the speaker can move. This port will introduce some ambient stage sounds into your mix. The FCS135 also has a cinch to tighten the IEM behind your head. Pretty rare for low priced earphones.With dynamic drivers the seal or seating of the earphones using the tips is critical to get the full potential from the FCS135.
